The Seamen's headquarters was established in 1834 as a venue for ship officers, sailors and their families to meet with the local missionaries. The building contained a reading room or library on the top floor while the lower floor was used for missionary sundries.
Master's Reading Room
The building is open to the public to explore and remains much as it was over 150 years ago. Visitors to Lahaina will find it next to the Baldwin Home.
